Soft, & Hard
- Striking with Internal Power (part 2 of 2)*
One Day Workshop on Application Training
Taught by Tina Zhang & Frank Allen
Sunday, Nov. 16, 2008
From 10:00am – 5:30pm
Internal power is more than simple force; it is rather a relaxed, fluid explosively issuing energy that can be done with any part of the body: the fist, palm, elbow, shoulder, knee, or foot, can make contact with an opponent to strike and/or throw. Along with developing sensitivity, neutralization and redirecting skills, a practitioner is always seeking martial efficiency and to be capable of using powerful aggressive striking movements, which based on Silk Reeling Energy.
These applications with their explosive energy or Fa Li training will greatly enhance and develop one’s fighting skills and abilities that can be used practically. Taking out the difficult choreography of Chen style tai ji quan, Master Zhu Tian Cai, from the Chen Village, refined, developed, and taught the old training methods of Chen Fa Ke's son - Chen Zhao Kui (1928-1981), to help practitioners to enhance their internal power training along with accuracy, speed and timing. Master Zhu’s short routine can be practiced in individual sections for training, or practiced as a short form.
Don’t miss this opportunity to learn some of the oldest and rarest aspects of Internal Martial Arts, which can be applied to any martial arts system.
*This part 2 of 2 workshop serves as an independent workshop, no part 1of 2 section required. No experience necessary.
